Tsuruma Park, the first park established by Nagoya City in 1909, is home to the iconic Roman-style "Fountain Tower (噴水塔)" and the "Sogakudo (Concert Hall 奏楽堂)" , built to provide citizens with the opportunity to enjoy Western music. These beautiful structures evoke a sense of history. While the park is famous for its cherry blossoms that bloom in spring, the rose garden, which boasts approximately 140 varieties of roses in both spring and fall, is also a captivating feature.

The Japanese garden at Tsuruma Park features an iris pond, where around 20,000 irises (the symbolic flower of Showa Ward, Nagoya, where the park is located) bloom in full splendor. The garden is an ideal spot for experiencing the essence of Japan, where visitors can stroll around the pond and enjoy a variety of scenic views. The view from the nearby gazebo is also recommended!
