Experience Hiroshima Like a Local: Pottery + Countryside Tour

This 1-day tour combines hands-on pottery, cooking with local ingredients, and visits to scenic spots like Nukui Dam and terraced rice fields. As you walk through the satoyama, Hayashi shares Hiroshima’s history with fun storytelling, including original picture cards and animations. The tour runs about five hours and can be customized to your interests.  

A 3-Hour Pottery Challenge, Start to Finish

At Fuuengama, pottery master Hayashi (with over 45 years of experience) guides you through every step. Spend around three hours shaping your own piece—from start to finish—on the wheel. Beginners are welcome, and advanced learners can try more challenging courses. Even if shipping overseas isn’t possible, you’ll still get to take home a nearly finished piece as a keepsake.
